Véronique Nyounai-Herrera
I am a Professional Counselor Associate focused on helping clients looking to change challenging patterns, build deeper self understanding, and experience meaningful personal growth. I believe growth happens when we feel supported, appropriately challenged, and brave enough to try something new. I support clients seeking to address food and body concerns, perfectionism, chronic illness, multicultural issues, racial identity, third culture/first generation American experiences, and relational concerns.
In our sessions you can expect warmth, support, challenge, authenticity, collaboration, and humor as we work towards meeting your goals. My therapeutic style is person-centered and emphasizes our therapeutic relationship while integrating Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy approaches. Additionally, I am a certified Body Trust provider and utilize this framework for addressing food and body concerns. Given my own multicultural and biracial identities, I am committed to supporting diverse populations.
My practice is anti-racist, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, and HAES aligned– you are welcome here.
