Valerie Johnson, LCSW
(she/her)
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma, I help individuals heal from painful experiences and reclaim a sense of safety, connection, and self-trust. Whether you’re living with the effects of PTSD, complex grief, anxiety, or recent life-altering events, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can begin to process and make sense of your experiences. I understand that trauma can change how you see yourself, others, and the world. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful space where you can process what you've been through and move toward healing at your own pace.

I am passionate about serving veterans, first responders, members of the queer community, healthcare workers, survivors of physical and sexual assault, and individuals healing from childhood and religious trauma. I draw on a number of evidence-based approaches in my practice, including EMDR, parts work, trauma-informed yoga and CBT.

When I’m not in the therapy room, I am an instructor at a local university, a spouse, and a parent to two young children. I stay grounded through spending time with my loved ones, gardening, exercise, and reading—usually with a cup of coffee nearby.
