Abigail Griego, PCA
(she/her)

Hi, I'm Abi and I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma across childhood and adulthood.  I approach this work with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique story. I recognize that trauma can affect the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us, and I believe therapy can be a place to gently explore those experiences while building new ways of coping, connecting, and moving forward. My approach is collaborative and individualized, drawing from trauma-focused therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered and humanistic approaches.

In addition to trauma work, I especially enjoy working with children, teens, and adolescents and helping them feel comfortable enough to be themselves in therapy. Building trust and connection is at the heart of my work with young people. I believe that kids and teens are the experts on their own experiences, and I strive to create a supportive space where they feel heard, respected, and involved in the counseling process. I meet each young person where they are, adapting my approach to their developmental needs, personality, and strengths. Together, we can build skills, navigate challenges, strengthen confidence, and work toward meaningful change. I believe every young person has the ability to grow, adapt, and thrive, especially when they have the right support and someone who believes in them.

As a bicultural provider who is fluent in both Spanish and English, I value the opportunity to support clients from diverse backgrounds and honor the experiences, identities, and cultures that shape who they are. I see every client as a whole person, and I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. My goal is to create a genuine, collaborative relationship where we work together to understand what you need, identify your goals, and find an approach that feels right for you!
