Katie Cordes, LCSW
(she/her)

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a deep passion for working with adults living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety-related disorders. This passion has led me to pursue specialized training focused on the unique challenges of OCD, health anxiety, social anxiety, and various phobias-including but not limited to emetophobia. These experiences can feel overwhelming and disruptive, often creating a constant state of distress. Having personally lived with a phobia, I understand firsthand how powerful and exhausting fear and anxiety can be—no matter the trigger.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and warm. During our time together, we’ll take your symptoms seriously while also making space for humor and humanity. We’ll explore your values and use evidence-based approaches to change and challenge the fear-driven narratives and behaviors that may be holding you back. I primarily use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) while also drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), tailoring each session to your unique goals, strengths, and interests.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting—and it’s completely okay to feel unsure, hesitant, or uncertain about where to start. You don’t need to have everything figured out before taking that first step. I’m here to meet you where you are, move at your pace, and offer support without judgment. You’re not alone in this, and together we can begin the path toward healing.
